Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Entry-Level Work: A Framework for Safeguarding and Reinventing Early Career Pathways

This report examines how AI is reshaping early-career employment and argues that organizations, educators and policy-makers must redesign entry-level pathways rather than simply automate existing work. Drawing on global labour-market data, PwC research and consultations with more than 200 leaders and experts, the report identifies four priorities: protecting access to entry-level jobs, redesigning work around meaningful human–AI collaboration, reinventing talent pipelines and aligning education with rapidly changing skills requirements.
